Designing Beyond the Medium: A Collaborative Approach with Mimi Young
When Mimi Young, a copywriter and multi-business founder, decided to create a brand that honored a different side of herself, she asked me to design the website for her new venture, Beyond the Medium. Unlike her other brand, which reflects her established aesthetic, this one needed to reveal a alternate facet: artful, edgy, and outside the box.

Developed a site that balances edgy creativity with intuitive navigation, making it easy for clients to explore services and book sessions.
Designed around a signature green palette that Mimi and I had both envisioned long before the project began, anchoring the site in a unique, visionary energy.

Worked closely with Mimi. A designer herself, she her own logo and provided bold, raw feedback on early drafts of the site.
Transformed her feedback into a final design that exceeded expectations, blending her vision with my expertise in user experience, typography, and web structure.
Provided font and color options while ensuring the final product reflected Mimi’s artistry and voice.
The result was a co-created digital space that feels both deeply personal and radically new, a true reflection of Mimi’s multifaceted identity. The website positions Beyond the Medium as a distinctive offering in her portfolio of businesses, standing apart while still resonating with her audience.
